What’s new in the alpha 0.3 version?

Since the alpha 0.3 version Tododoc has the new improved interface. I hope it’s more consistent and organized. The new interface is also in much more subdued and neutrals colors.

There is also a new section/page – Prospects. With the new page you can quickly take a look on your active and waiting actions, for example doing a weekly review of actions.

The publisher of Tododoc is now verified

Since the alpha 0.3.01 version Tododoc is signed a verified Publisher ID for Adobe AIR Certificate for Grzegorz Lobinski. So, now you can be sure that I’m not a ghost :).

I want to add that the certificate is sponsored by Adobe through AIR Marketplace. Thank you Adobe, it was a nice gift :)

How to move to alpha 0.3 and keep your current to-do data

If you have on your computer installed Tododoc in version lover than alpha 0.3 and want to move to 0.3 but keep your current projects actions and to-do lists data follow these steps below:

1. Search your computer’s hard drive for a file with the name “tododoc.db”.

2. Move the file to a save place, the file contains a database with your to-do data.

3. Uninstall Tododoc.

4. Install a new version of Tododoc, alpha 0.3.00 or higher. If the application is open after after installation close it.

5. Once more search your computer’s hard drive for a “tododoc.db” file. Now there can be two files with the same name, the one you moved in a safe place and the other one entirely new ( with current time as a creation date ).

6. Remove the new file and in its place copy/move the old one.

7. Launch the application. Now you should have Tododoc in a new version with your old to-do data.

To-do lists manager Tododoc alpha 0.3 released

Alpha 0.3 is ready to install for new users, however if you have Tododoc in version lover than 0.3 installed on your computer you have to first uninstall it. Regrettably an update method doesn’t work with this update. If you want to move your present data with projects actions and to-do lists to a new installation of Tododoc read next blog post “How to move to alpha 0.3 and keep your to-do data”.

Welcome to Tododoc’s Blog. My name is Grzegorz Łobiński, for not my Polish fellows, meaning, for the majority of you Greg will be enough. I am the author of Tododoc. Tododoc isn’t finished, it is at early alpha, but public, development stage. I decided to release it in that shape to collect your feedbacks. Although I started to develop Tododoc for myself I think that there are more people like me for whom the application can be useful. So, for whom Tododc is? Tododoc is for people who like me think that David Allen’s Getting Things Done methodology is the best way to collect and manage their tasks but they also like or have to, like me :), to prepare daily to-do lists. Tododoc is designed to speed up a process of making daily to-do list with the use of a Next Action list.
